Seven Angel Messages
In Revelation there are:
7 Churches, 7 Seals, 7 trumpets, 7 thunders, 7 last plagues, and 7 angel messages.
Seven Angel Messages
"And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, saying with a loud voice: Fear Yahwah and give glory to him for the hour of his judgment is come, and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters."
The first angel message heralds the everlasting gospel. This gospel is that which Yahsha Messiah presented when he walked this earth. It is everlasting in that it is changeless. The everlasting gospel presents the truth with regard to our heavenly Father, the Law of ten commandments, the plan of salvation, and the principles of his everlasting kingdom. It brings to view the investigative judgment as prefigured in the Day of Atonement.
It is in knowing our Father God, in understanding aright His character of righteousness and obtaining the righteous character of God in Yahsha Messiah that true happiness and peace are found. It is the privilege of every man, woman, and child to possess this knowledge and to have the character of God in Yahsha Messiah imputed and imparted unto him. To have the character of God inwrought in the life of the believer is to give glory to God. It is to bear His mark, His seal, transformed into the image of Yahwah Elohim.
Brought to view in the last part of the first angel message is the seventh-day Sabbath of the fourth commandment. Much is to be comprehended in this holy precept. The fourth commandment testifies that:
God is Creator. God created all things in six literal 24-hour days, proving evolution to be a false science.
God is Creator, not destroyer. God destroys no man.
God is Sanctifier. It is God who makes man holy and re-creates man in His own image.
The seventh-day Sabbath points forward to the seventh day of God's eternal rest when sin, suffering, and earth shall be no more and all shall be created anew with its original and glorious splendor.
"And there followed another angel, saying Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication."
What is this wine?---her false doctrines.
As the nominal churches continue to reject special truth, the church will fall lower and lower and will be left to receive strong delusion. Not until this condition is reached and the union of the church with the world be fully accomplished throughout Christendom, will the fall of Babylon be complete and the stage set for the marvelous working of Satan. The multitude will be swept into Satan's deceptive, destructive net.
The so-called Christian world is to be the theater of great and decisive actions. Men in authority will enact laws controlling the conscience. Babylon will make all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. Every nation will be involved.
Babylon is mentioned in the book of Revelation in a figurative sense as a worldly, proud, apostate form of politics and religion combined into one vast system. A harlot represents that church-and-state union. The church, with the favor of the state behind it, becomes Babylon---confusion---heathenism and Christianity mixed into one vast system and forced upon the people. Many of her doctrines, while long held by Christians, have no foundation in the Scripture of Truth and are but doctrines of devils. Some of these false doctrines are:
- Sunday sacredness
- Immortality of the soul
- Eternal torment
- Salvation by works
- Salvation in sin
- God destroys
Some deny the divine-human nature of Yahshua Messiah. These are some of the false doctrines which comprise the wine of Babylon. It is this wine that has intoxicated the nations and which has caused Babylon's fall.
"Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness." Luke 11:35
"The third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice: If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation, and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb, and the smoke of their torment ascendeth up forever and ever and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God and the faith of Yahsha."
The third angel message presents two groups, two classes. The one worships Satan, the beast and his image and who receive his mark in their forehead or in their hand. The other group keeps the commandments of God and have the faith of Yahsha Messiah.
A strong warning attends the message to those who worship the beast and his image and who receive his mark in the forehead or in the hand. It is imperative then to know just what kind of worship is prohibited by Yahwah God, just who is the beast, what is the image to the beast, and what is the mark of the beast, in order to be in the right group and avoid the penalty which attends this solemn message.
No one can honor God who does not love God and who is not fully submitted to the will of God. There is no neutral position. We are either fully for Yahwah God, or we are none of His. A non-committal stance automatically places one on the side of the adversary, Satan. This is a most solemn, life-and-death message. We can honor God only as we have a right conception of His character, government, and purposes and act in accordance with it. As the will is surrendered to the divine will of our Father God, He will re-create us in His likeness and present us faultless before His throne with exceeding joy.
We cannot trust to our own wisdom. As it is written:
"O Yahwah, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man that walketh to direct his steps." Jeremiah 10:23
Every counsel and command of our heavenly Father is ever for our best good that we may be blessed. Trust Him.
The time is not far distant when the test will come to every soul. The mark of the beast will be urged upon every man, woman, and child upon earth. Those who have step by step yielded to worldly demands and conformed to worldly customs will not find it a hard matter to yield to the powers that be, rather than subject themselves to derision, insult, threatened imprisonment, and death. The contest will be between the commandments of God and the commandments of men. Fearful is the contest between truth and error, righteousness and sin, love and hate. True godliness will be clearly distinguished from the tinsel of it. Many a star that we have admired for its brilliancy will then go out in darkness. All who are not clothed with the righteousness of Yahsha Messiah will not stand the test of their trial and shall appear in the shame of their own nakedness. Solemn is the message of the third angel; fearful are the consequences for those who continue to live to the lusts of the flesh, who reject truth, and who refuse to submit their will to the divine will of our Father God who loves each and every child of earth.
So closely will the counterfeit resemble the true that it will be impossible to distinguish between them except by the Scripture of Truth. By their testimony every statement, every doctrine, every miracle is to be tested. None but those who have fortified the mind with the truths of the holy Scriptures will stand through the last great conflict.
"And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake, but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved." Mark 13:13
"And he that overcometh and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations." Revelation 2:26
Those who proclaim the third angel message, because they see and believe it, will understand that very much is comprehended by it, and they will go forth unto perfect victory. The message of the third angel will be proclaimed, and those who advance with it in knowledge and consecration will receive the victor's crown; the rest will be left behind. The third angel message will do its work in separating from the churches and from the world a people who will take their stand on the platform of eternal truth. Those who keep all ten commandments of God and have the faith of Yahsha Messiah shall go forth unto perfect victory.
Perilous are the times in which we live; momentous is the hour; solemn is the message of the third angel.
"I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power, and the earth was lightened with his glory; and he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying: Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird, for all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies."
The message given to the second angel is repeated in the fourth angel message, with the additional corruptions which have been coming into the churches. The message given to the fourth angel gives power and force to the third angel message and penetrates everywhere.
The fourth angel message is an addition to the first, second, and third angel messages and joins in the last great work of the third angel, as it swells to a loud cry, to prepare a people to stand in the hour of temptation which shall come upon the whole world. The special message of the fourth angel swells to a loud cry in the revelation of the righteousness of Yahsha Messiah, and the earth shall be lightened with the glory of God. The outpouring of the holy Spirit of God will then take place, but it will fall upon those only who are prepared to receive it.
It is Satan's purpose to obliterate from the minds of men the true knowledge of our heavenly Father. The people of God are to understand in regard to the fourth angel, that mighty angel, who is to lighten the whole earth with his glory.
"Behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people, but Yahwah shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee." Isaiah 60:2
It is the darkness of misapprehension of God that is enshrouding the world. Men have not known God; they have not a correct knowledge of His divine character. His character has been misunderstood and misinterpreted. In the fourth angel message, a special message from Yahwah God will be proclaimed, a message illuminating in its influence, saving in its power. The true character of our heavenly Father will be made known. Into the darkness of the world will be shed the light of his glory, the light of his goodness, mercy, and truth.
The knowledge of God as revealed in Messiah is the highest education, and it will cover the earth with its wonderful enlightenment, as the waters cover the sea.
Our loving heavenly Father warns us that the world is not to be introduced into the church and married to the church. Through union with the world, the church will become corrupt,---a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. The customs of the world must not have a place, for they will open doors through which the prince of darkness will find access, and the line of demarcation will be indistinguishable between him that serves Yahwah Elohim and him who serves him not. The world is the chief enemy of religion, for satanic forces are continually at work through the world, and it is Satan's objective to bring the church and the world into such close fellowship that their aims, their spirit, their principles, their purposes will be in harmony. It is a veritable truth that the spirit of worldly conformity is invading the churches throughout Christendom. Apostasy, apostasy, apostasy is engraven on the front of every church, and did they know it, and did they feel it, there might be hope; BUT alas! The church is intoxicated with the wine of Babylon. Friendship with the world and the great ones of the earth corrupts her faith, and in her turn, the church exerts a corrupting influence upon the world by teaching doctrines which are opposed to the plainest teachings of the holy Scriptures. Very many will be so intoxicated with the wine of Babylon, they will not be able to discern truth from error, nor will they be able to discern the voice of the true Shepherd. These shall be left to accept strong delusion that they shall believe a lie, believing instead the opinions of men and the doctrines of devils. The true testimony of the character of the infinite God, they will reject and will instead receive the sophistries of Satan, and with his attributes they will be imbued and will bear his mark.
Those who proclaim the message of the fourth angel will have their minds so enlightened as to be able to comprehend its far-reaching significance and so embrace the LORD of life and the principles governing His kingdom that the Law of ten commandments will be indelibly written upon their hearts and wrought out in their lives to the glory and honor of Yahwah God. The will of Yahwah will be their aim. The labors of these faithful few will be blessed by God, for their minds are so absolutely intent on spiritual ends and for the glory of Yahwah that they are willing to sacrifice convenience, self-interests, honor, rights, pleasures, and life itself for the sake of the cause of Yahwah God. These few will bear the glory of our heavenly Father---His character---and be imbued with His attributes; these bear His seal and are fitted for the mansions of Heaven.
With intense interest the unfallen worlds throughout God's universe watch the controversy between Yahsha and Satan, and as this controversy progresses and the glory of God shines brighter and brighter, they give praise to God, whom they love and adore.
"And I heard another voice from heaven saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins and that ye receive not of her plagues."
There must be a decided separation from those bodies of professed Christians who do not keep all of the commandments of Yahwah. Those who refuse to come out of Babylon will receive the double portion as mentioned in Revelation 18:6.
To spiritual Israel is given the message: "Come out of her, my people."
As Yahwah called ancient Israel out of Egypt, that they might keep His Sabbath, so He calls His people out of Babylon.
There is to be a marked separation from sin and sinners. There can be no compromise between God and the world. Yahsha Messiah calls His people to take a decided stand on the side of truth and righteousness.
To no man has Yahwah given authority to dictate to the conscience or bind the minds and souls of their fellow men. Those who know the truth will break every shackle and assert their liberty in Yahsha Messiah to do right and only right. The commandments of Yahwah God will be written upon their hearts and wrought out in their lives. They will love their fellow man, even their enemy, and they will love Yahwah God with all their heart, all their mind, all their soul, and all their strength. All who love God supremely will understand what is to be comprehended in the coming out of Babylon.
"And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth, and the earth was reaped."
The first harvest is brought to view in the message of the sixth angel. The perfection of the church of Yahsha Messiah precipitates the message of the sixth angel.
"Be patient, therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord, behold the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain." James 5:7
Yahsha Messiah is waiting with longing desire for the manifestation of Himself in His church. When the character of Yahsha Messiah shall be perfectly reproduced in His people, then he will come to claim them as His own and take them Home.
"And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle. And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe. And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepresses, and even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs."
The second harvest is brought to view by the message of the seventh angel. The opening of the fifth seal precipitates the cry of the seventh angel message.
"And they that understand among the people shall instruct many: yet they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, many days." Daniel 11:33
"Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand." Daniel 12:10
This time is right upon us. Two groups are forming, just two. The Spirit of Yahwah God is withdrawing from the earth, and Satan will be permitted to do the evil deeds he has long wished to do. Storm and tempest, war and bloodshed,---in these things Satan delights, and thus he gathers in his harvest.
The sixth and seventh angel messages are brief but very important. Remember: the harvest of life is character, and it is this that determines destiny. Blessed is he who has his part in the first harvest; on him the second death hath no power.
